About Us

Visual Pollution is Megan Leonard and Peter Edlund, a filmmaking team specializing in narrative storytelling.

They were selected for the 2019 Sundance Creative Producing Summit, 2020 Sundance Talent Forum, and The Gotham’s 2020 No Borders: US Narrative program with the feature adaptation of their award-winning short film, Mixtape Marauders.

The short film screened at festivals including Aspen Shortsfest, Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Palm Springs International ShortsFest, and Raindance Film Festival. It premiered online as a Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere and was ultimately nominated for Vimeo’s Best Comedy of 2018. The short was also awarded Short of the Week’s 2019 Best Comedy of the Year and was a 2019 Webby Honoree.

Their 2016 release Chase the Clouds, a collaboration with Stranger Genius Music Award Winner Erik Blood, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and Seattle Met magazine said, “it’s hard to imagine the powerful clip won’t go down as the best Seattle music video of the year.” Their previous film, The New West, received a Vimeo Staff Pick and was featured by Short of the Week.
